ARC’s Visiting Doctor Programme that was conducted in 2012 has resumed today, with visits from Dr. Usama Ali Omer. Medical checks-up for the children are scheduled to continue at Kudakudhinge Hiya by Dr. Usama, on alternate Fridays,. In addition to volunteering his services,Dr. Usama has also provided medicines and first-aid items for the children on several occasions.
ARC extends deep gratitude to Dr. Usama and other Doctors who have previously participated in this programme, for volunteering to share their invaluable skills and expertise with the children in need, through regular free consultations. Dr. Khodayar Yagenegi (Paediatric Dentist), Dr. Nuzuha Mohamed (Senior Registrar in Dermatology at IGMH) and Dr. Usama Ali Omer (then Senior Medical Officer in General Practice at ADK Hospital) offered their services for the children at Kudakudhinge Hiya in 2012. The Visiting Doctor Programme ensures that all children in the shelter have their special healthcare needs attended to, so that they can grow up healthy in a safe and supportive environment.
