‘Positive Parenting’ – a programme sponsored by Kurumba Maldives, under ARC’s Corporate Ambassadorship Programme has been officially launched at Fiyavathi. The programme is designed to train all childcare workers at Fiyavthi, and will be conducted by experienced trainers from Society of Health Education (SHE). The training is scheduled to be held in two batches, the first of which will be conducted from 4 – 21 February 2018.
The program envisages building skills and providing information for empowering childcare workers, to improve the quality of care provided by them. The primary focus of the programme is to help the childcare workers establish and maintain an effective and holistic relationship with children in their care.
ARC greatly values the continued assistance of Kurumba Maldives to Children’s Shelters through supporting educational and recreational programmes for the children, as well as capacity building trainings for the staff. Children’s lives are positively impacted by such programmes, and ARC remains profoundly thankful to Kurumba Maldives for their generosity. ARC also takes this opportunity to thank the Ministry of Gender and Family for their support and active participation in this programme.
The tentative dates set for the second batch of the program, is from 4th – 21st March 2018.
