Team from Mars Football Club (TFM FC) formally endorse ARC as the social partner for Islanders Futsal Challenge 2016


Advocating the Rights of Children (ARC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a local club, Team from Mars Football Club (TFM FC), to formally endorse ARC as the social partner in the Islanders Futsal Challenge 2016. The MoU was signed by Mr. Hussain Numan, Executive Director on behalf of TFM FC and Ms. Zenysha Shaheed Zaki, Executive Director on behalf of ARC, at the launching ceremony of the tournament held last night.

Under this partnership, TFM FC will be supporting the expansion of the advocacy and outreach efforts of ARC’s HOPE Campaign against Child Abuse. This campaign provides useful information on 4 key areas, including how to help children Heal, the importance of Outreach, ways to Prevent abuse and how to Empower children against abuse.

As such, ARC in partnership with TFM FC, will be conducting HOPE Campaign’s awareness sessions for students, parents and teachers in Meemu Atoll, during the Islanders Futsal Challenge scheduled to be held from 16 to 25 March 2016. In addition, TFM FC will assist ARC to distribute posters to schools and install billboards in Meemu Atoll to empower children against abuse. In addition, public service announcements on the prevention of child abuse will also be aired on TV throughout the tournament’s live coverage.
