The Parent Effectiveness Training (PET) workshop, carried out by Advocating the Rights of Children (ARC) in association with Black Gold Resorts, concluded today.10 staff members participated in the month long workshop which was run at Kudakudhinge Hiya, Villingili, for the benefit of children at the Shelter.
The PET training is intended to create better communication between parents and children so that parents can better understand the problems and concerns of their children in order to act more accordingly for their benefit.
As the staff of Kudakudhinge Hiya are tasked with taking on parental roles for over 60 children at the Shelter, ARC remains confident that the outcome of the workshop will enrich the lives of the children.
