Donate towards programmes at Kudakudhinge Hiya at Novelty Book Fair

Novelty Book Shop has opened a donation box for ARC’s proogrammes at Kudakudinge Hiya, at the Novelty Book Fair 2014. The Book Fair is now open at Dharubaaruge and will go on from 12 to 22 April from 2pm till 12 am daily, and from 10am till 12am on Saturday. 100% of funds raised through this event will go towards ARC’s programmes at Kudakudhinge Hiya.

Some of the ongoing programmes by ARC for Kudakudhinge Hiya include an Early Childhood Play and Development Training programme for the childcare workers, English Reading Programme for children, providing tuition teachers for help with schoolwork as well as a Visiting Doctor Programme.  Among ARC’s upcoming programmes for Kudakudhinge Hiya include a Gardening Project for the children, sports programmes, including swimming and badminton, as well as ARC’s Annual Ramazan Collection which provides an opportunity for the public to donate much needed items and gifts for the children.

ARC extends sincere appreciation to Novelty Book Shop for the opportunity to raise funds through this event, as well as for providing 60 gift vouchers for the children at Kudakudhinge Hiya for this year’s Book Fair. ARC looks forward to receiving support from the public for this initiative.
