ARC’s book launch event for the new storybook for children, ‘The Grand Plan of the Gunge Gloop Group’, will be held on 14th July 2017 from 4.00- 6.00pm at the Rasfannu Beach. Friday’s book launch event will also include fun and educational games for children.
The new story focuses on ‘Dunk the Junk’ message of ARC’s HEAL Campaign promoting healthy eating and active lifestyle for children, and is the 3rd book from the HEAL storybook series. The characters in the stories are chiefly representations of healthy and unhealthy food and drink, the setting consisting mostly of the playground and typical situations a child might face. The stories are designed to be warm, slightly absurd, and edifying towards a healthy eating and active lifestyle for children.
The first two storybooks in the HEAL series, ‘The Colorful Companionship of Casey Cabbage” and “The Sneaky Snare of the Syrupy Slurp Slops’ received awards by Europe’s Gourmand Awards in 2013 and 2015 respectively. ARC’s 2nd book was also shortlisted amongst the best 6, for Europe’s Gourmand World Awards 2015 under the Best in the World (Children) category.
