ARC has participated at the Seminar on Institutionalized Children: Standards of Care and Mental Health, held in New Delhi from 14th to 15th March 2014. ARC also shared a paper at the Seminar, “A Children’s Shelter from an NGO’S Perspective, Case Study: Kudakudhinge Hiya Children’s Home”.
The Seminar, organized by Udayan Care, an organization built around Empathy, Education and Empowerment of women and children, was attended by SAARC member countries and was an important step in improving the quality of life for children in institutions.
ARC was represented by Ms Fathina Ahmed Khaleel, Senior Project Officer and two supervisors from Kudakudhinge Hiya, Ms Mariyam Nisha and Ms. Fathimath Reesha also participated at the seminar.
