Advocating the Rights of Children (ARC) launched a Life skills Training Programme for the staff of
Kudakudhinge Hiya, Vilimale, today.
The programme covers a range of topics from communication skills, assertiveness skills, values, self esteem and self confidence, domestic violence, anger management, conflict resolution, to stress management. A total of 50 staff members will take part in this eight-day programme conducted by Lifeskills Master Trainer, Ms. Naseema Yoosuf.
This training program is essential for the staff at Kudakudhinge Hiya, to acquire essential skills necessary for looking after the children. It is also one of several such training programmes organized by ARC for Kudakudhinge Hiya. This lifeskills training programme for the staff will be followed by a similar programme for the children at the shelter.
