Advocating the Rights of Children (ARC) has today commenced its annual holiday programme for Kudakudhinge Hiyaa, which will run throughout the month of December. A total of 43 children are participating in this programme organized by ARC in partnership with MNDF. ARC wishes to extend sincere thanks to MNDF for its continuous commitment to this programme. The Holiday Programme also includes participation in the “Kool Kamp” by the Leadership Academy, which provides the children with an opportunity to learn, enjoy, and spend time with children from schools across the capital.
The holiday program was initially launched in 2010 and has been held yearly since then. It has continued to feature several recreational activities including chess, carom, swimming, art classes and fun and educational camps. The purpose of this initiative is to help children develop life-long skills whilst keeping them engaged and entertained over the duration of the holidays.
