As part of Advocating the Rights of Children (ARC)’s Shelter Support Programme, a special recreational programme for the children of Fiyavathi has commenced today, with the support of Beach Club Maldives.
This water sports programme will take place twice a week and will give the opportunity for the children to participate in sports and recreational activities that promote their growth and development and provide space for them to get an educational experience from outside of the shelter, as well as encourage their engagement with the community.
Children between the ages of five and twelve will participate in this ongoing programme, that is also supported by the affiliate sponsorship of the Sailing Association of the Maldives, Maldives Bodyboarding Association, Perfect Wave, Maldives Coast Guard, Maldives Police Service, Avahteri Initiative, Voloris Pvt.
